Hello Everyone

I've just installed VRtool (2.0) but when I try to launch it is says:
Exeption EOleSysError in module VRTool.exe at 00145B9D. Error accessing the OLE registry.

This problem occurs only with the new version. The previous version installed on my computer: 1.4, works well !

I don't succeed to find where to download other version: 1.6, 1.7, 1.8... to have an idea of where the problem should be from...

Have you any idea of this issue ? Could you please help me sort it out ...

Many thanks in advance

Try to run vrtool as system administrator
( with the mouse, right-click the program icon in the desktop
and select "Run as Administrator" ).
This must be done once, subsequent runs should work normally.

This problem can be caused by having two different vrtool instances installed.
Anytime you switch between the two, the program tries to register itself,
which fails for Vista and Windows 7 (Admin rights needed)
Do not use two vrtool installations in the same computer.

Hello Omar,

Thx for your answer but it still not working :?
I explain more my situation :
I am at work and I don't have "Administrator right" on this computer.
Also, I decided to install the version 1.4 on a flash drive => Working perfectly !
The only limit is for the winds update that I want to retrieve from vrtoutoulz.
In this purpose, I have to install an newest version (2.0).
Then I deleted the version 1.4, then installed the version 2.0 on my flash drive but is ask me the Administrator user & pswd ... that I don't have ...

Do you have any idea how to get around this barrier and use this amazing software ?

Many thanks in advance,

Louis

Sorry, but administrator rights are necessary, at least when installing the software.
You should not run the program from a pen drive without properly installing it first.
This will not work because the software must register components in the system,
and this requires admin rights. You have to run setupVrtool.exe with admin rights.
Once the software is installed, special privileges are no longer necessary.
