Hi,
I'm in the process of preparing for the virtual vendee globe race in November and searching for the polars in xml-format.
Does anyone know where I can find them.

Thx and many greetings,
Dirk

Note that importing VR wind files using Firefox interface is broken,
because the VR winds format changed. So use NOAA or vrtoutoulz winds.
( Firefox interface is now hopeless anyway.. :( )
If using the vrtool NOAA module to acquire winds, select [x]game winds (rounded)
This will round wind speeds to the nearest integer (in km/h, similar to VR winds)

G'Day Omar,
Yes I know I said I would quit this game bit the challenge is to good to quit.
This is what I have, I use Firefox version 3.6 and I have no trouble with boat position, The wind is a different kettle of fish.If I use your download Grib files from NOAA
I get the correct wind cell size of 1/2 degree or 30' size, however the time stamp is incorrect by 2 hours therefor the wind speed and direction is wrong.
Next importing winds from vrtoutoulz as you suggest (http://www.vrtoutoulz.fr/TIME+2/early), on checking Pacotools web site (http://pacotool.fr) you will find the wind grid and speed is the same as the game , wind grid is 1/2 degree and speed is correct. But on hitting F2 to import this wind into VRTool the wind grid is now 1 degree and incorrect. I think there is a problem with your program?

I still can't import any winds. I go to the NOAA module and set the upper left and lower right corner.

Runs for a while and tells me winds are loaded, but the Count is zero and no winds on the playing screen.

One thing you have to watch when downloading NOAA winds is the time zone.
The (computer time + time zone) is used to calculate GMT time
and choose the current forecast. If the TZ setting is incorrect ,
the program may try to download a forecast that is not yet available.

Hi, I can import NOAA winds but at the moment I have the winds from 2012-11-09-00:00:00. How do I manage to get the winds from +6 wich are the ones from the game?
