Hi Omar,

Recently returned to virtual racing and have installed latest version and after a few minor problems, all is working with the exception of Weather routing.

Saw comment about absent NOAA weather window and have checked this - all present for time period selected, but routing calc = zero !!

Any help or advice would be most welcome so I can derive the benefit of this wonderful tool that you have created.

It seems I am experiencing the same issue but with version 2.07.
The weather routing tool has worked for 2 weeks without any problem.
It started to give the NaN (I guess "Not a Number") message 2 days ago (see below in italic):

Hoping Omar will fix that soon. In any case thanks to him for his great tool !

Found something that could help ! Look at this topic: "weather routing before update".
The problem I reported seems to be related to missing wind forecasts.
I keep digging...

Difficult weather routing. Make sure you don't screw with parameters
for Vendée I'm using:
polars
winds: NOAA game winds in the background, with 1 vrtoutoulz early wind grid in close range
( vrtoutoulz follows the game winds better, so make sure Ricoo's wind is on top.
180h seems to be enough. To get the full 384h you have to wait too much.

WR module params:
isochrone interval=1h up to= [12,24,72,120,384... whatever your horizon]
# of branches=15 to 17
angle to the destination=100
wake angle=35
Isochrone spacing=1%
[x]collision detection (you may check this off, for faster calculation in blue waters)
[x] branch tracks at isochrones (every hour in this case)
[x] branch tracks at degree boundaries (30')


Note that number of branches param is smaller for VR than last VORG's.
The discreet metric of the wind field (i.e. boxy winds) generates much more action points..
Another comment: This branch at isochrones generates a lot of course changes.
Draw a simpler track over it for your sanity...

I have changed the polars (coming from vrtoutoulz http://www.vrtoutoulz.fr/polars/vrt_full/vendeeglobevirtuel_pro-full.csv) and used the set you proposed.
It works fine now (even with uncomplete wind forecast!).

Unfortunately, the "classique" polars don't work with the weather routing tool.

Great work here.
You said WR is working better with Classic Polars, so I got vendeeglobevirtuel_pro.csv.
But it's only working in "Simple polars" in Winds tab #Polars database.
Is it normal? Why I cannot use Multisail polars? does it matter?

Let's try again.
I take the "classique" polar from Ricoo's polars page http://www.vrtoutoulz.fr/polars/ with following options (translated from french):

Race -> Vendée Globe
Pro sails x

and I download the file -> "classical format".

I get the NaN again when I use the polar whith the third option (called "mes polaires" in the french version of VRtool) and it works fine with the second option "simple polar". It's still ok with the polar you sent and the first option "multisail polar" (performing a slightly different route).
