How to install VRTool if not administator

Hello Omar,

I would like to install VRTool on my job laptop, but I am not administrator of it.

is it possible to have a zip file of VRTool folder with related files?

There are some components in the software that must be registered
with the operating system. Just unzipping the vrtool folder wont do that.
You must install using the software installer..
(need administrator rights to install, I`m affraid) :roll:

Also, if you are running with limited rights, the OS may not let
you write files to the vrtool folder, which is inside \program files\
( I'm to blame for mixing program and data in the same folder )
In that case, create another directory for data files (.nav, .cht, .xml etc).

This should work...

Hello Omar,

I think it can be easy, because I did a copy of VRTool folder on my personnal computer, copy it to business one and ... it works!!!!

Does anyone know if it is possible to install VRTool as a portable application on a USB flash drive, and if so - how? My office computer doesn't allow me to install anything really worthwhile on it and a portable version of VRTool would allow me to do something useful in the office besides catch up on lost sleep.

I run my VR Tool off the USB flash drive & move it between home & work. It works well.
