Can VR Tool software still be used for VOR 2017?
Will there be any support for the race?
Maps, winds, settings?

For maps I recommend using GSHHS
https://www.ngdc.noaa.gov/mgg/shorelines/gshhs.html

Use high definition version ( gshhs_h.b ).
VRTool can read de original *.b file format.
This is included in VRTool distribution.

For winds, use VRTool GFS import module,
and have access to original forecast files.
As how to configure that to simulate game conditions,
that is your job

Boat data have to be input by typing coordinates,
because data cannot be retrieved from game server.
