Lake Ontario - Blue water

Postby Neptune » Fri Nov 13, 2009 5:35 pm

I have a chart of Lake Ontario that merged very well with the "World" chart but the colour of the water in the lake is the same as it's surrounding land - Brown. :(

When I zoom in REAL close it changes to Blue. I would like it to be blue at all time.

Is there anyone that can tell me how to do it ? The file is in "cht " format and was supplied by a member of VOR. Unfortunately I have not been able to find him any more.

Thanks

CHT files are text files (can be edited with notepad).
They hold a collection of polygons that look like this:

O;Polygon;Isla Victoria
A;Color=$00FFFFFF
A;BGColor=$00FFFF00
P; -23.76344; 45.01619
P; -23.75923; 45.00929
P; -23.74964; 45.00809
P; -23.74744; 45.01496

where:
A;Color=$00FFFFFF <-- This is an attribute (FFFFFF=white)
P; -23.75923; 45.00929 <-- this is a polygon point

The two attributes are the polygon border color and background color.
Color is encoded in hexadecimal ($00BBGGRR)
If you want the lake to plot on top of the continent, move the
whole thing (points and attributes) to the bottom of the file (cut-paste)

I had no problem getting the lake on the world map, however trying get get the water Blue is still a problem.

There are over 500 polygons in the file, is there away to find out which one is the "Water" ?

Thank you
