International Date Line

Postby OldChapZ » Thu Nov 26, 2009 10:42 am

Hi, Omar
1.8 seems to be a big new step. Good luck in pruning the tree ;)

I have a question.

Is there a way to handle the International Date Line ?

Track forecasting ends at 180°. Seems unavoidable.
I tried to begin a new track beyond the Line with "aged" xml to have the appropriate winds. It didn't work either.
I can't imagine another way. Do you have one ?

Thanks in advance. Keep on enjoying us with your tool

I guess I didn`t test that. It seems to work when
going E to W, but not the other way around.
I had the same problem with charts. Tricky date line.

Thanks, for the answer. If working from E to W it's OK. I don't plan to do it backwards !
I'll retry later. Due to the meteo, Date Line is moving far away from my boat.
