I think, it is the place to be !
You should find many php and xml files, starting with plugin
One is plugin-get_user.php
Open this one in a text editore (notepad or wordpad).
Copy the content and use the vr tool paste button.

 I am still not getting this right. Have copied and pasted the get_user from the directory on my pc, plus from httpfox and neither does anything.
When I click on "get" the circle moves showing that it is trying to retrieve but it then shows my boat remains a 0deg S 0deg W
and does nothing further.
Am I doing something wrong.

Is this the correct format above that I must paste intop VRTools?

Using httpFox, what you need is the content text (not the URL).
(Starting with <?xml version="1.0" ...> up to </user>)

You can also find the file in the browser cache (as described in previous post)
but you risk loading an old version. With httpFox, you get the latest data.

 tip: Type "get_user" in httpFox filter field to get rid of other useless downloads.

I used the filter to get rid of any data that doesn't contain "get_user" and I tried that one, still doesn't work :(

But I can ease find it in my local dir. Just have to look good at the download time.

The program was changed to be used without direct interaction with game databases. To use this, you have to Install a Firefox plugin called HttpFox. Activate HttpFox and use Firefox to login in to the game application. In httpFox pane, locate the line containing get_user.php. Select and copy the file content to the Windows clipboard. Go to vrtool, select the Boats tab and:

* Clear the boat name field, to avoid downloads if you accidentaly click [get].
* Uncheck the [ ]Autoupdate checkbox.
* Use the clipboard button to paste boat data.
* Click button [Add boat position to track]

When I click on the clipboard button the [add boat position to track] function is still not available?
Am I doing something wrong?
I copy the url from httpfox then make sure [autoupdate] is unchecked, click on clipboard button and................

Look in:
C:\Documents and Settings\your name\Local Settings\Temp\plugtmp-.. If there are more pluttmp files, take te one with the highest number and open this with notepate. Copy the text and then push the paste boat data button in VRtool
It worked for me....good luck
