GRIB import 'out of memory'

Xp Pro running VRTool v1.8 with 2.5gig ram. Whenever I try to import a grib file (of any size) it says 'writing probe file' then eventually reports that it is out of memory.
How much memory do I need for this function?

This 'Out of Memory' error is not a memory problem in most cases.
I will check this. Thanks for reporting.
