My import does not work.
I did everything as posted above, but VRTool won't import any boat data.

I'm seeing some data: Lat/Lon, course, rank, and sail, but not boat speed, wind speed, angle, or any boat names. And without he boat name, it won't add the position to the boat track.

I am also seeing some boat info but no name or the ability to add to a track. I have also not been able to use any wind data without a "error running degrib" error.

And I've been trying for days to get the correct winds without success. I've tried putting anything I could think of into that "Import Grib file (probe) box and nothing displays the winds in the game. I've read all the instructions downloaded the VG2012.zip file, updated to 2.06 but I'm just about ready to quit. Last year VRTool worked great and I see others are having success now but there must be Something I'm missing.

For those that are lost!
I'm still using an old version 3.6. of firefox,

using the signin
"http://vendeeglobevirtuel.vi............*****&lang=EN&light=1&auto=1&checksum=9.................." isn't returning boat speed as its not in the message returned by VR
so at this stage the "boat Tab " method isn't working for me.
if you post your complete path in to your browser you can see what data is returned.


I'm able to use the "import data from fire fox cache" after logging in to the Virtual regatta site and it returns my boat speed and other details which are imported.

but after the next 10 minute update no new data is loaded - if i log out and back in again the data will update
with the cache import I'm using "plugin-ServiceCaller*.php" and the virtual regatta provider

G'Day Omar,
Credit where credit is due, congratulations it all works perfect. I upgraded to VRTool 2.6 (2.4 won't work) I upgraded to Firefox 16 ( I was using 3.6) and HTTPfox 8.11. I followed the instructions to the letter, everything works perfect....be careful there is a couple of URLs that look the same

Hi Omar,

I've installed the 2.06 version and I think I have followed step by step everything you indicate.
I get a few things (latitude and longitude, ranking, sail and heading). These elements correspond to the actual data and change at each iteration. However the boat speed, the wind speed and the TWA are desperately null and I get no boat position nor those of my friends. Any idea to solve this issue ?

I'm under Firefox 15.0.1 and Windows 7 pro.

Also - when it works - can I translate this article on my blog (http://vrguide.blogspot.com/) for the French players who are not necessarily fluent in Shakespeare language !
